RK Accountancy are partnering with a well known andamp; succesful company in Blackburn, where an opportunity has arisen for a Divisional Accountant.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial information on the performance of the Sales Department as well as producing various daily, weekly and monthly reports on all areas of the business to track actual performance to the relevant managers and identify any issues or areas of concern. The role will also include duties in the preparation and analysis of the monthly management accounts and cash forecasting.
Main duties will include:


andbull; Performance analysis of the Department through production of weekly scorecards.
andbull; Daily reporting on the performance of the department
andbull; Assist in the preparation of Management Accounts followed by a detailed analysis.
andbull; Monitoring and reporting on variances between actual results and the budget.
andbull; Reviewing individual department performance and identifying areas for improvement.
andbull; Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
andbull; Ensuring accuracy of financial information within the accounts department.
andbull; Producing an accurate daily cash forecast.
andbull; Setting up payments and transfers.
andbull; Assisting with the annual audit.


Essential Criteria
andbull; Previous experience in a similar role.
andbull; AAT qualified or have a degree in a related field.
andbull; Excellent in Microsoft Excel.
andbull; Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
andbull; Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
andbull; Strong skills in analysing financial data and presenting it clearly to non-financial managers.
andbull; Ability to work to deadlines.
andbull; Skills in reconciling data.
andbull; Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
andbull; Enthusiastic and dedicated approach to work.


Desirable Criteria
andbull; Studying towards CIMA.
