The RoleAs a Parks Operative, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of parks, green spaces and council grounds. Duties include:Grass cutting, hedge trimming, edging, planting and general horticultural workDriving and maintaining allocated vehicles (van, trailer, ride-on mower)Use of powered hand tools and light plant machineryLitter picking and keeping sites in a clean, safe, orderly conditionAssisting with inspection of playgrounds and park furnitureDealing courteously and professionally with members of the publicCompleting daily paperwork and reporting any hazards or incidents What We''re Looking ForFull, current C1+E driving licence (essential)At least 1 year''s relevant experience in gardening/horticulture, grass cutting, hedge trimming, planting etc.Experience using powered hand tools/equipment safelyExperience dealing with the public face-to-faceWillingness to undergo a driving assessment as part of the selection ..... full job details .....
