Parking Design Engineer (Disabled Parking Bays)

We are currently working with a London Local Authority seeking a Parking Design Engineer (Disabled Parking Bays) to support the delivery of its parking service.The successful candidate will take primary responsibility for processing disabled parking bay applications and progressing approved bays through the design, consultation and implementation stages. The role will also support the delivery of minor parking schemes, controlled parking zones and general traffic management activities.Key ResponsibilitiesReceive, review and process applications for disabled parking bays.Progress approved applications through assessment, design, consultation, statutory processes and implementation.Respond promptly and professionally to enquiries from residents, elected members and other stakeholders regarding disabled parking bays and general parking matters.Prepare plans, schedules, consultation materials, correspondence and supporting documentation for parking schemes.Undertake parking investigations and assist in the design and delivery of minor parking schemes, including waiting and loading restrictions, parking bays and local parking improvements.Support the wider Traffic Engineering team with traffic and parking enquiries, site visits, data collection, record keeping and scheme administration.Provide a customer-focused service, explaining decisions and processes in clear, non-technical language.Undertake other duties appropriate to the level of the post to support the effective ..... full job details .....
