Parking Design Engineer

Good Afternoon, I am currently representing Bromley Council who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience We are looking for a Parking Design Engineer this role will be based at: BR1 1AS 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home The right candidate will: To support the delivery of the Councils parking service, with primary responsibility for processing disabled parking bay applications and progressing approved bays through the design to installation stages. The postholder will also respond promptly to parking enquiries and assist with minor parking and traffic schemes, controlled parking zones and general traffic queries. Receive, review and process applications for disabled parking bays, and progress approved applications through assessment, design, consultation, statutory and implementation stages. Respond clearly and promptly to correspondence and enquiries from residents, elected Members and other stakeholders on disabled parking bays and general parking matters. Prepare plans, schedules, consultation materials, letters and other documentation required for disabled parking bays and minor parking schemes. Undertake parking investigations and assist in the design and delivery of minor parking schemes, including waiting and loading restrictions, parking bays and other local parking improvements.
