About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sorter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse by ensuring that materials and products are sorted accurately and efficiently. This position requires a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Sort and organise materials and products for storage or shipment according to established guidelines Utilise warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and manage stock levels Handle materials with care, ensuring proper techniques for manual handling and safe handling practices Assist in picking and packing orders for shipping, ensuring accuracy in quantities and product selection Load and unload goods from lorries, maintaining a clean and organised work area throughout the process Participate in shipping and receiving activities, verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders Maintain knowledge of mechanical systems related to warehouse operations to assist with minor troubleshooting as needed Experience Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable, with a focus on sorting, stocking, or materials handling Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) such as AS400 is an advantage Experience operating forklifts or similar equipment is preferred; relevant certifications are beneficial Knowledge of construction processes or mechanical systems can ..... full job details .....
