Anderson Knight is delighted to be recruiting a Paralegal to join the Property team of a well-established law firm in Edinburgh.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced residential conveyancing professional to take ownership of transactions from instruction through to completion. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a high-quality client experience, managing a varied caseload, and supporting solicitors throughout the conveyancing process.

The Role

As a Paralegal within the Property team, you will be responsible for a broad range of conveyancing and administrative duties, including:

  • Providing legal and administrative support throughout the residential property sales process

  • Drafting correspondence and legal documentation on behalf of solicitors

  • Liaising with internal support teams to ensure transactions progress efficiently and clients receive an excellent service

  • Managing a portfolio of transactions from the post-missives stage through to completion

  • Producing regular management information and reports relating to active matters, concluded missives, cancellations, and completed transactions

  • Assisting with networking and business development initiatives where appropriate

  • Undertaking any other duties reasonably required to support the team and supervising solicitors

Skills and Experience

  • Strong knowledge of Scottish residential conveyancing procedures, including experience of both Sasine and Land Register systems

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues

  • Proficiency in case management systems and Microsoft Office applications

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively

  • The confidence to work independently while collaborating closely with solicitors and wider teams

  • A proactive, professional, and team-oriented approach

  • The ability to work accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work

  • Flexibility and adaptability in response to changing business needs
