Are you a law graduate with a genuine interest in family law and looking to build your legal career in a supportive and forward-thinking firm?

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Paralegal to join our Family Law team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their legal career who is passionate about helping clients through important and often life-changing matters.

You will gain valuable hands-on experience, working alongside experienced solicitors and supporting a varied caseload across family law matters.

As a Paralegal within our Family Law team, you will provide vital support to our solicitors while developing your legal knowledge and practical skills. You will be involved in a broad range of activities, from legal research and preparing documentation to assisting with client communication and case management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day support to solicitors within the Family Law team
  • Assist with the preparation of legal documents, correspondence, and court paperwork
  • Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries
  • Support with the organisation and management of client files
  • Liaise professionally with clients, courts, and third parties
  • Attend to administrative tasks to support the smooth running of matters
  • Assist with preparing bundles and case documentation
  • Maintain accurate records and update case management systems
  • Help with the progression of family law cases from initial enquiry through to resolution
  • Carry out additional legal and administrative tasks as required

Experience and Skills Requirements

  • Has a genuine interest in pursuing a career in family law
  • Is eager to learn and develop within a legal environment
  • Has excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Communicates confidently and professionally, both verbally and in writing
  • Can handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • Works well independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Law degree or relevant legal studies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good IT skills and confidence using legal systems
  • Previous legal experience, internship, or work placement
  • Understanding of family law processes
  • Experience working in a client-focused environment
