Panel Wirer

We are seeking a skilled Panel Wirer to join our team. As a Panel Wirer, you will be responsible for assembling and wiring electrical control panels according to specifications. This is a hands-on role that requires knowledge of electrical systems, as well as proficiency in using various hand and power tools.

THE ROLE:

• Read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams
• Assemble electrical control panels by mounting components onto backplates or enclosures
• Wire control panels by routing, cutting, stripping, and terminating wires
• Install and connect electrical components such as relays, switches, circuit breakers, and terminal blocks
• Test completed panels for functionality and troubleshoot any issues
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

THE CANDIDATE:

• Previous experience in panel wiring or a related field
• Knowledge of electrical systems
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment necessary for panel wiring
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Basic mechanical knowledge for mounting components
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot electrical issues
• Good communication skills to collaborate with team members

THE SALARY & BENEFITS

• -16.00 per hour
• Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 16:30 & 12:30 finish on a Friday
• Free car parking, local bus and train routes
• Temporary position lasting a minimum of 6 weeks (possibility of a longer term contract)
• Weekly pay, every Friday.
