Pallet Coordinator

Job Description:

Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Pallet Control Coordinator on behalf of our client, a leading manufacturer and supplier based in Witham, Essex.

This is a permanent opportunity for an organised and detail-focused individual with experience in pallet control, stock control, warehouse administration or logistics. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing pallet accounts, monitoring stock levels and ensuring all pallet movements and records are accurately maintained.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage pallet accounts including CHEP, LPR, Tosca and other pallet providers.
• Monitor pallet stock levels and arrange orders when required.
• Process pallet hires, de-hires, transfers and reconciliations through provider portals.
• Maintain accurate records of all pallet movements and transactions.
• Investigate and resolve pallet discrepancies with suppliers, customers and pallet providers.
• Carry out regular pallet stock counts and audits.
• Produce reports covering pallet balances, usage, losses, liabilities and stock levels.
• Liaise with transport providers, suppliers and customers regarding pallet movements and collections.
• Arrange the collection and disposal of scrap pallets through approved suppliers.
• Monitor pallet losses and identify opportunities to improve recovery and reduce costs.
• Support wider warehouse stock control and inventory investigations when required.
• Work closely with Warehouse, Transport, Planning and Customer Service teams.
• Maintain all pallet-related documentation and records.
• Support continuous improvement across warehouse operations.

Experience & Skills

• Previous experience in pallet control, stock control, warehouse administration or logistics is essential.
• Experience using pallet provider portals such as CHEP, LPR and Tosca is essential.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience using ERP or warehouse management systems, ideally SAP Business One/SAP B1.
• Good understanding of pallet control, reconciliations and asset management.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Experience working within a fast-paced FMCG environment would be advantageous.
• Experience producing operational reports and working with KPIs.
• A-Level standard education or equivalent is preferred.

Salary

-32,000 - -35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
