Painter and Decorator (Modern and Heritage Buildings)Salary: £33,539 per annumLocation: CambridgeContract: PermanentHours: 39 hours per week (Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm, Friday 8:00am-4:00pm)About the RoleWe are looking for a skilled Painter and Decorator to join a Works team, carrying out high-quality decorating work across a diverse estate of modern, historic and listed buildings. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional workmanship while helping to preserve buildings dating from the 15th century through to the present day.Working on a varied range of projects, you''ll undertake both routine maintenance and specialist conservation work, using traditional and modern decorating techniques to achieve the highest standards.Key ResponsibilitiesAs Painter and Decorator, you will:Prepare a wide range of surfaces, including sanding, filling, cleaning and priming.Apply a variety of finishes including emulsions, gloss, varnishes and specialist coatings.Carry out high-quality internal and external painting and decorating.Install wallpaper, specialist wall coverings and decorative finishes.Undertake sensitive restoration and redecoration of heritage and listed buildings.Use traditional materials such as lime-based paints and distemper where appropriate.Follow conservation specifications to protect and preserve historic features.Work carefully around architectural details including cornices, mouldings, sash windows ..... full job details .....
