About the Role

A Painter & Decorator is required in Leeds to prepare student accommodation bedrooms and bathrooms ahead of check-ins. This contract role, paying £18.50 per hour, starts immediately and runs until Thursday 3rd September. You will work either 8:00am-4:00pm or 9:00am-5:00pm shifts. Responsibilities include painting various areas, plus surface preparation such as filling and sanding. Previous experience is essential, and you must work efficiently to a high standard with minimal supervision. Keeping spaces clean and tidy for occupation is key. This position suits a skilled tradesperson comfortable working independently at pace.

We are currently recruiting for Painters & Decorators to work at a student accommodation site in Leeds, helping to prepare bedrooms and bathrooms ahead of student check-ins.
The successful candidates will have previous painting experience and be comfortable working at pace while maintaining a high standard of finish. You will need to work confidently with minimal supervision and ensure areas are left clean, tidy and ready for occupation.
Key Responsibilities:
· Painting bedrooms, bathrooms and other areas within student accommodation.
· Preparing surfaces before painting, including filling, sanding and basic preparation.
· Applying paint neatly and efficiently to walls, ceilings, woodwork and other surfaces.
· Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment throughout the job.
· Protecting floors, fixtures, fittings and furniture from paint splashes or damage.
· Identifying areas requiring additional preparation or attention.
· Working independently with relatively minimal supervision.
· Following site health & safety procedures.
· Ensuring completed rooms are presented to a clean, professional standard ready for student check-in.
The Ideal Candidate:
· Previous professional or substantial painting experience.
· Able to work at pace without compromising quality.
· High attention to detail and pride in their work.
· Reliable and punctual.
· Comfortable working independently.
· Good understanding of basic painting and surface preparation techniques.
· Able to start ASAP and commit through to the completion of the project.
Important: The work needs to be completed by 3rd September, so candidates who can start immediately and work consistently throughout the assignment will be particularly desirable.
