Painter and Decorator Location: Redhill and surrounding areas Contract: Temporary Start Date: Immediate Our client, a well-established housing provider, is seeking an experienced Painter and Decorator to join their voids (empty properties) refurbishment team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson with experience working in residential properties, delivering high-quality decorating and repair work while providing excellent customer service. The Role Working across a portfolio of residential properties, you will be responsible for carrying out internal and external painting and decorating works to a high standard. Key Responsibilities Preparing surfaces for painting and decorating, including filling, sanding and making good. Carrying out internal and external decorating works. Assessing repair requirements and identifying the most effective solutions. Identifying issues such as damp and mould and carrying out appropriate remedial decoration. Using mobile technology to receive, update and complete work orders. Working safely at all times in line with Health and Safety regulations, COSHH and safe working practices. Requirements Experienced painter/decorator Previous experience within social housing, property maintenance or domestic repairs is highly desirable. Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively. Strong communication and customer service skills. Experience using handheld devices or mobile job management systems.
