Painter and Decorator

Role Overview

One of my local goverment clients is seeking an experienced Painter and Decorator to support maintenance and improvement works across council-owned properties and facilities. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting and decorating services across a variety of settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, filling, and priming.

• Apply paint, wallpaper, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.

• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.

• Ensure work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with health and safety regulations.

• Work both independently and as part of a team across different sites in the borough.

Requirements

• Proven experience in painting and decorating (ideally within a local authority or public sector environment).

• Full UK driving license (desirable).

• Ability to follow instructions and work to deadlines.

• Commitment to health and safety best practices.
