Search Consultancy is currently recruiting for an experienced Painter & Decorator to join a commercial project in Newcastle. This position offers an immediate start with a consistent run of local work for the right candidate.

We are seeking a qualified professional who maintains high standards of workmanship and reliability to support our client''s delivery schedule.

• Surface Preparation: Washing down, scraping, sanding, filling, and taping up all surfaces to ensure a flawless base prior to paint application.

• Internal & External Finishing: Applying emulsion, gloss, undercoats, and specialised coatings to walls, ceilings, woodwork, and metal fixtures to high commercial standards.

• Precision Work: Executing precise cutting-in, maintaining sharp lines, and ensuring uniform coverage without runs, drips, or brush marks.

• Snagging & Touch-ups: Identifying defects and systematically carrying out final snagging works ahead of client handovers.

• Material Management: Properly mixing, thinning, and matching paints, while managing stock efficiently to minimize site waste.

• Asset Protection: Safeguarding surrounding surfaces, floors, and fixtures using dust sheets, masking tape, and protective drop cloths.

• H&S Compliance: Adhering strictly to site safety regulations, including the correct handling and disposal of hazardous materials (COSHH) and maintaining a tidy workspace.

• CSCS Card: Valid Blue or Gold CSCS card preferred.

• Experience: Proven track record in commercial, industrial, or high-volume domestic painting.

• Tools & PPE: Full professional kit (including whites, brushes, rollers, extension poles, and prep tools) and standard 5-point PPE.

• Right to Work: Valid right to work in the UK.

• Local Continuity: This project is based entirely in Newcastle, reducing travel times and commuting costs.
