Paint Sprayer

Prodrive Recruitment Consultants Ltd are seeking an experienced and skilled-Paint Sprayer to join our well-established clients based in Worcestershire, leading manufacturers of complex and safety-critical engineering parts for the defence sector.

The successful candidate will be part of a quality focused and experienced team, applying wet paints to a high specification and quality finish on components used in engineering projects and safety critical defence.- This is an opportunity to develop your career within a forward-thinking engineering company which offers a stable, full time opportunity with competitive pay and ongoing-training.

Main Responsibilities:

• Able to mix paints accurately and to the correct ratios
• Application of wet paints to a consistent and high-quality finish
• Preparation and jig up of production work
• Follow gloss levels, thickness and paint specifications consistently
• Experience of using gloss and thickness meters to check and inspect finishes
• Organisation of workflow to ensure production is kept on track
• Working to strict company COSHH and Health and Safety procedures at all times
• Ad hoc duties as required from time to time

Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in a similar wet paint spraying role within the automotive or industrial sector
• An understanding of safe use of PPE and COSHH
• Able to follow instructions and pay attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while adhering to deadlines.
• Able to use initiative and work independently and as part of a busy factory team
• A reliable and adaptable team player

Desirable:

• Experience using gloss (Gu) and thickness (DFT) meters
• Spray painting certification
• Flexible to work shifts as required

Salary up to -15.50 per hour DOE-+ Company Benefits

Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 07:45 - 17:15, Friday 07:45 - 13:00 (Early Finish)

Temporary to Permanent Contract
