Hours of Work: 38 Hours per week Mon Thursday 07 30 Friday 07 00 Breaks: 1 paid 30-minute break 1 unpaid 30-minute Break Rate of Pay: £13.50 - £14.00 per hour, we may need your guidance here to be able to fill the position. Job Purpose: Preparation and painting of axles and other components using gravity-fed spray guns. This includes cleaning, mixing, and applying 2-pack paint systems with primer and top coat finishes to ensure high-quality results. Key Responsibilities: Surface Preparation: Clean and degrease axles and components prior to painting. Inspect surfaces for defects and ensure proper preparation. Paint Mixing and Application: Mix 2-pack paint systems accurately according to specifications. Apply primer and top coat using gravity-fed spray guns. Ensure even coverage and high-quality finish. Quality Control: Inspect painted components for consistency, coverage, and finish. Touch up or rework as necessary to meet quality standards. Maintenance and Safety: Maintain spray equipment and ensure cleanliness of work area. Follow all health and safety guidelines, including PPE usage. Additional Duties: Assist with general workshop tasks as required. Operate a forklift truck (FLT) if licensed FLT license advantageous but not essential. Requirements: Proven experience in industrial or automotive spray painting. Familiarity with gravity-fed spray guns and 2-pack paint systems.
