Job title: Paint Shop Support Operative Job type: Temporary to Permanent Location: Biggleswade Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7.30am-4.30pm Hourly rate: £12.71 per hour + (DOE) Our rapidly growing client based in Biggleswade are currently looking for a Paint Shop Support Operative to join their Workshop team on a Temporary to Permanent basis. This position has arisen due to plans to expand their site, so this could be a great opportunity for someone looking to join and exciting and thriving business. Main duties as a Paint Shop Support Operative:- Assist with the preparation of metal components prior to powder coating, including cleaning, sanding, degreasing, and masking of parts to ensure a high-quality finish.- Support the powder coating process by hanging and removing products from production lines and ensuring items are correctly identified and routed.- Carry out masking and protection of surfaces, threads, and critical areas in line with customer specifications and quality requirements.- Inspect finished products for coating quality, damage, or defects, reporting any issues to the Paint Shop Supervisor.- Pack completed products safely and securely for dispatch, ensuring correct labelling and adherence to customer packaging requirements.- Assist with goods inwards and goods outwards activities, including unloading deliveries, checking stock, preparing shipments, and maintaining accurate records.
