SummaryAn opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 6 nurse on 7D Paediatric Assessment and Short Stay Unit in the Royal London Children\''s Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust. PASSU is a fast-paced area with a varied patient profile, providing high-quality nursing care for babies, children and young people under different specialties including General Paediatrics, Paediatric Oncology, Orthopaedics and General Paediatric Surgery. The ethos of the unit is working in partnership with the children and their families. The post holder will have opportunities to develop new skills and knowledge, working closely with all multi-disciplinary team members. Staff are encouraged and given the opportunity to continue professional development through attendance on relevant courses with City, St George\''s and London South Bank Universities. Barts Health has a busy and demanding Children\''s service requiring staff to be flexible in their working. The post holder will be required to work within a challenging clinical environment and undertake shift work which will include nights and weekends.
ResponsibilitiesMain duties include providing clinical leadership to a designated nursing team to deliver the highest standard of individualised, family-centred care to children and their families in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team.
