Packing Assistant

We require a Packing Assistant  to prepare Scandinavian furniture for customer delivery. The role involves carefully packing furniture items into appropriate boxes, ensuring they are well-protected for transit. This includes inspecting items for quality and selecting suitable packaging materials. Strong attention to detail ,a methodical approach, experience using the Shopify platform and possess excellent customer service skills are essential for this role.

Hourly Rate: £12.50 Per Hour

20 hours per week

Job Description:

This position requires a detail-oriented individual to assist in the packing and preparation of Scandinavian furniture for customer shipment for a well know brand in Kentish Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for: 

• Carefully inspecting furniture and small items for any defects or damage before packing.
• Selecting appropriate packaging materials (boxes, padding, etc.) based on the furniture dimensions and fragility.
• Packing furniture items securely and efficiently, ensuring they are well-protected during transit.
• Maintaining a clean and organized packing area.
• Working effectively as part of a team to meet daily packing targets.

Requirements:

• Attention to detail: Ensuring accurate packing to prevent damage during shipping.
• Physical fitness: Ability to lift and maneuver furniture items.
• Methodical approach: Following established packing procedures.
• Teamwork: Collaborating effectively with other team members.
• Basic Maths
• Experience using the Shopify platform 
• Possess excellent customer service skills.
