Packing and Storesperson

Packer and Storesperson - Berkhamsted - Up to -25,000

The Packing and Store Person is responsible for effectively packing products by company standards. This role also includes pressure testing of parts, final assembly of certain products, and managing incoming goods.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, and organised.

Salary: -25,000 increasing up to -26,000 after probation (plus Discretionary Bonus)

Holiday: 20 days + 2 rejuvenation days + 1 day per year up to 5 years (some holiday is used for Christmas)

Hours: Monday to Friday - 8:30 till 17:00

Duties:

• Select appropriate packaging materials based on product type and shipment method.
• Pack products securely to prevent damage during transit.
• Ensure that packing standards meet company and customer specifications.
• Labelling units in the correct manner
• Conduct pressure testing of parts as required.
• Report issues i.e. malfunctions or defective parts.
• Manage goods in, including receiving and inspecting incoming shipments.
• Check the number of items received against delivery notes and purchase orders
• Conduct regular stock checks and assist in inventory audits.
• Report stock shortages when observed
• Keeping the work area clean and hazard-free
• Maintaining equipment to safe standard and in good condition
• Work with other team members to meet demand when required
• Conserve resources and supplies to eliminate undue waste

Qualifications:

• Experience as a packer/Storesperson
• Maths, English GCSE levels
• Computer skills
• Mechanical background (Preferred)
