Packaging Project manager - 3 days job share

Are you a commercially astute packaging professional with a passion for innovation and precision? Our client — a leading food manufacturer and retailer — is seeking a dynamic Packaging Project Manager to join their team on a part-time job share basis.

This is a high-impact role supporting the delivery of packaging solutions across a diverse product portfolio, with a strong focus on NPD and retailer critical path management.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Lead packaging development projects from concept to launch across chilled, ambient, and frozen categories

• Collaborate cross-functionally with NPD, technical, and commercial teams to ensure packaging aligns with product and brand strategy

• Manage critical path timelines and retailer expectations, ensuring all milestones are met

• Liaise with suppliers and manufacturing partners to deliver packaging that meets sustainability, cost, and performance targets

• Support artwork approval, compliance checks, and shelf-life trials as needed

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in packaging project management within food manufacturing or retail

• Strong understanding of NPD processes and critical path delivery

• Experience working with major UK retailers (e.g. Tesco, Sainsbury’s, M&S, Waitrose)

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
