AWE .Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke. AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight and will consider flexible working requests. Up to one day on site. A typical day could look like this is described in responsibilities.Package: £41,000 to £50,000 dependant on experience.Important: You may be required to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role. This will be funded by AWE. You must be a British citizen resident in the UK for the past 5 years (SC) and 10 years for DV.Responsibilities

Maintaining a number of P6 plansSupporting month end schedule health checks as requiredMaintaining and improving schedule qualityEngaging with project stakeholdersSupporting schedule updates in line with the business rhythmCreating scenario plans and preparing for change controlProducing reporting for project teams and senior leadersChallenging logic – understanding how activities connect to each otherDriving efficienciesCreation of the Work Breakdown Structure, resource loading, project level IMS, and project-specific basis of scheduling documentsInput into the month-end process including updating schedule progress, forecast updates, milestone status, critical path analysis and EV variance analysisProviding planning input to investment approval and change control, risk and opportunity processes, and peer reviewsProduction of planning and EV deliverables in accordance with procedures and guidelinesProposing solutions and workarounds to address schedule performance issuesEnsuring understanding of responsibilities and adherence to environmental, health, safety, security, quality and ethics standardsQualifications

Proficient with Primavera P6 or similarExperience interfacing with contractors; knowledge of NEC4 or standard form of contract is preferablePlanning and controls training (APMG project planning and control) or extensive controls experienceAPMG industry-standard qualificationAt least one year working as a planner on a large-scale projectYou will be responsible for

Input into month-end processes, schedule progress, scheduling forecasting, milestone status, critical path analysis, and schedule performance review including EV analysisPlanning inputs to investment approval, change control, risk and opportunity processes, and peer reviewsProduction of planning and EV deliverables in accordance with proceduresProposing solutions to schedule performance issuesAdhering to company environmental, health, safety, security, quality and ethics standardsCandidate characteristics

Development, integration, and analysis of project plansExperience with best practice planning processes and toolsUnderstanding of confidence modelling processes and techniquesStrong interpersonal skills for effective working relationshipsExcellent analytical skills with ability to read charts and spreadsheetsAbility to manage priorities and work to challenging timescalesAbility to deliver objectives on time and to high quality with minimal supervisionWhy you’ll love working here
