A leading Civil Engineering Contractor is looking for a P6 Planner to join their Design Team in Leeds, supporting major UK infrastructure projects with a focus on tunnelling, shafts, and microtunnelling. This isn''t a typical site-based planning role, you''ll be at the heart of the design office, driving programme development, managing resources, and supporting commercial decisions. If you''re an experienced Primavera P6 planner with strong cost and resource loading skills, this is a chance to shape how complex design work is delivered.

P6 Planner Job Overview

• Build and manage fully integrated Primavera P6 programmes across the design lifecycle
• Resource- and cost-load programmes, accurately reflecting labour, plant, equipment, and materials
• Support commercial and finance teams with valuations, forecasts, and cash flow reporting
• Monitor progress using earned value management (EVM), flagging issues early and recommending solutions
• Carry out critical path analysis, mitigation programmes, and support claims when delays arise
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to keep programmes aligned
• Deliver weekly/monthly updates, lookaheads, and reporting for senior management

P6 Planner Job Requirements

• 3 + years'' experience as a P6 Planner on large infrastructure projects
• Experience with tunnelling or shafts experience advantageous
• Confident in cost and resource loading and applying EVM techniques
• Self-sufficient, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent communicator and team player, able to work across design, commercial, and delivery functions
• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Experience working with NEC or FIDIC contract forms.
• UK Driving Licence
• Happy with 5 days a week in the office in Leeds
