You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC) Project Master Schedule (PMS) from bid and proposal stage through to execution and project close-out. You will ensure stakeholder alignment, accurate progress tracking, and the delivery of robust planning information to support critical decision-making.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive planner with strong Primavera P6 skills and experience in complex engineering or shipbuilding projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the Project Master Schedule (PMS) in line with contract specifications.
- Review contractual documentation to support schedule development, execution, and close-out.
- Build and manage schedules in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Conduct and facilitate Schedule Risk Analysis workshops to validate programme integrity.
- Develop and maintain the Project Schedule Risk Register.
- Integrate subcontractor and third-party schedules into the PMS.
- Ensure continuous stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project schedule change control processes, reflecting accurate time and cost variations.
- Coordinate with planners to collect and validate schedule progress data.
- Develop recovery plans to mitigate programme slippages.
- Produce and deliver schedule delay analysis reports to the Project Management Team (PMT).

- A self-starter with some marine, shipbuilding, or large-scale construction experience.
Required Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience as a Planner in a construction, manufacturing, or marine environment (shipbuilding desirable).
- Proven background in project and production planning.
- Higher National qualification (or above) in a relevant discipline.
- Advanced understanding of planning and scheduling principles and techniques.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Strong IT skills - Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

- Predominately office based, so needs to be in commuting distance.
- 37 hour standard week
- Day rate dependant on experience - to be discussed at qualification stage
