Overheads & Operational Accountant

We have an exciting opportunity for a  Overheads & Operational Accountant based in Bedfordshire for one of our clients on a Full time permanent basis. 

 Summary of the Overheads & Operational Accountant role 

Salary: £ 35,000
Location: Bedfordshire
Type of Contract: Permanent 
Hours: Monday – Thursday 8am-4.30pm Friday – 8am-1pm  

Responsibilities of the Overheads & Operational Accountant

• Take responsibility for monthly overhead cost centre accounting across the business
• Prepare and post overhead journals
• Ensure overhead costs are correctly coded and reviewed
• Provide support during the month end close process
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain clear audit trails and reconciliations
• Finance support for operational and functional teams
• Support the purchase-to-pay processes
• Maintain supporting documentation and audit files
• Support audit processes and year end reporting activities

Requirements for a successful Overheads & Operational Accountant

•  Part-qualified accountant or qualified by experience
•  Previous experience in overhead accounting, management accounting or operational finance
• Strong attention to detail
