Outreach Tutor - Halton

The Opportunity

Prospero Teaching is seeking committed Outreach Tutors to support children and young people throughout Halton who require alternative educational provision.

Working on a 1:1 basis, you''ll deliver personalised tuition while helping learners re-engage with education, build resilience and develop the confidence needed to achieve positive outcomes. Many of the students we support have experienced barriers to learning and benefit from a patient, consistent and flexible approach.

Position Details

* Location: Halton
* Position: Outreach Tutor
* Hours: 5-15 hours per week (flexible)
* Start Date: September 2026
* Duration: Ongoing

Experience, Training and Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

* Experience working with children or young people on a 1:1 basis
* Experience supporting learners with SEND, SEMH or those disengaged from education
* QTS or equivalent (preferred)
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

To be eligible, you must:

* Hold the Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
* Provide two professional child-related references
