Outreach Tutor - Halton

The Opportunity

Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting dedicated Outreach Tutors to support children and young people across Halton.

This role involves delivering engaging 1:1 tuition to learners who may be out of education, accessing alternative provision or requiring additional support to re-engage with learning. Every tuition programme is tailored to the individual, allowing you to build strong relationships and make a lasting impact.

Position Details

* Location: Halton
* Position: Outreach Tutor
* Hours: 5-15 hours per week (flexible)
* Start Date: September 2026
* Duration: Ongoing

Experience, Training and Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

* Experience teaching or tutoring on a 1:1 basis
* Experience supporting learners with SEND, SEMH or those accessing alternative provision
* QTS or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred)
* Excellent communication and behaviour management skills

To be eligible, you must:

* Hold the Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
* Provide two professional child-related references
