Outreach and Sustainment OfficerEast London Contract Rate: £30.35 per hour (Umbrella) IR35 Status: Inside IR35 Initial Contract Length: 3 months Extension Potential: Subject to requirements Working Hours: 36 hours per weekRole SummaryWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Outreach and Sustainment Officer to join a busy local authority housing team in East London on an initial 3-month contract.The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering assertive outreach services to individuals sleeping rough, providing practical support, identifying accommodation pathways and helping vulnerable residents move away from the streets.What You Will Do as an Outreach and Sustainment Officer Deliver proactive, trauma-informed outreach sessions to identify, engage and support individuals sleeping rough, including responding to reports of people sleeping on the streets. Assess individual circumstances, vulnerabilities, safeguarding concerns and support needs, providing practical advice and access to appropriate housing, health and welfare services. Work with individuals experiencing homelessness to identify suitable accommodation pathways, overcome barriers to accessing housing and support sustainable moves away from rough sleeping. Provide ongoing tenancy sustainment support to individuals moving into temporary accommodation, supported housing or independent living, helping them settle, build independence and maintain their accommodation.
