This is a great opportunity for someone with strong plant knowledge who enjoys working outdoors, advising customers and maintaining high horticultural standards. You''ll play a key role in ensuring plants are healthy, well-presented and that customers receive expert advice and inspiration for their gardens. The role would suit an experienced Plant Area Assistant, Supervisor or horticultural professional looking to take the next step in their career within a successful garden retail environment, with the opportunity to develop into more senior roles. The RoleYou''ll be responsible for:Taking ownership of the outdoor plant area, maintaining excellent standards of plant health and presentation.Providing expert customer advice on plant selection, care and aftercare.Creating attractive seasonal displays to support sales.Supporting and guiding the plant team, acting as deputy to the Department Manager when required.Managing plant deliveries, stock levels, rotation and general department standards.Supporting ordering and wider department responsibilities as your knowledge develops.Stepping into Duty Manager and Key Holder responsibilities when required.
