OT Security Consultant

A global manufacturer is seeking an experienced Contract OT Security Consultant. This role requires deep technical expertise across Operational Technology within manufacturing environments.

Day Rate: £600 – £700 per day

IR35 Status: Outside IR35

Duration: 6 months initially

Location: Remote with occasional travel to Hertfordshire (ad hoc)

Experience Required

Extensive hands-on experience with industrial control systems (ICS) such as PLCs, SCADA, and DCS, including configuration, integration, and real-time troubleshooting within operational manufacturing environments.

Proven ability to implement and support OT security measures, leveraging industry standards such as NIST 800-82 and IEC 62443, while ensuring safety and uptime in global manufacturing operations.

Strong understanding of OT-specific network protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, OPC, Ethernet/IP), with experience using diagnostic tools for packet capture, analysis, and root cause investigation.
