Contract Duration: 12+ Months
Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00, 37 Hours per week
Pay Rate: £ 21.19 per hour

Main Responsibilities

• Conduct high-level research to identify individuals suitable for recruitment as covert human intelligence sources.
• Recruit and manage individuals to support operations and intelligence requirements related to organized immigration crime.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including RIPA 2000, ECHR, and CPIA 1996.
• Produce high-quality intelligence reports.
• Maintain operational security at all times.
• Provide support to the Dedicated Source Unit as required.
• Be available for on-call duty and flexible working hours, including extended duty times and weekend/late working as needed.
• Maintain professional accreditation and competence, particularly in staff protection training and first aid.
• Comply with organizational policies and procedures.
• Respond to short notice changes in working hours if required.

Person Specification

• Possession of a full substantive driving licence.
• Ability to achieve and maintain a specified vetting level.
• Willingness to work from a discreet location on the Cambs/Suffolk border, rather than Bedfordshire Police HQ.
• Flexibility to undertake other activities related to the job description as needed.
