Oracle DBA ContractLocation: Sheffield, UK (onsite) Type: 6-Month Contract with potential extension Payrate: Circa 300 - 365/day Inside IR35We are seeking a seasoned Oracle DBA Administrator with a passion for stability, automation, and continuous improvement (CI). This role is essential for maintaining our critical Oracle DB and MySQL systems within a dynamic Enterprise Cloud environment.Key Requirements and Responsibilities:Core DBA Expertise: Strong, non-negotiable skills in Oracle DBA and experience with MySQL.Operational Ownership: Own, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical faults within the Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure.Service Delivery: Provide escalated technical support, ensuring system availability and managing Incidents, Service Requests, and Changes against strict SLAs/KPIs.CI Mindset: Actively apply Continuous Improvement (CI) methodology to drive efficiency and reduce waste in daily operations.Stakeholder Management: Collaborate effectively across matrix relationships and possess strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.Learning Acumen: Demonstrate a willingness to learn and adopt new database technologies (preferably latest versions).Highly Desirable Skills:Programming skills, particularly Python, for automation and integration.Understanding of Unix shell scripting.This is an urgent vacancy with a deadline where the hiring manager is shortlisting for an interview immediately.
