Oracle Database Engineer Christchurch(Dorset) £45,000-£52,250+ Bonus andamp; Benefits

What you''ll be doing:

• The development processes (e.g. requirements, design, specification, implementation, acceptance testing), and development tools
• The design and implementation/modelling of database tables
• Implementation of database packages using the Structured Query Language (SQL)
• Performance monitoring and enhancement of an Oracle database, monitoring the Oracle website for updates and engaging with Oracle to request patches as well as Horizon scanning for vulnerabilities
• Configuring Windows/Linux/RHEL operating systems
• Creating bespoke applications and automated deployment using PowerShell

Your skills and experiences:

• Systems development lifecycle experience, from design through to testing
• Demonstrable experience in Database Management
• A background in IT
• Interpersonal and communication skills. Confidence to liaise with customer and user representatives to discuss systems technical issues
• Experience with Powershell
• Oracle 19 experience (or similar)
• Windows experience(essential), Linux(desirable)
• Some experience with COTS applications(desirable)
