Role Purpose To provide high-quality eye care and promote eye health in line with General Optical Council (GOC) standards, ensuring the best possible visual outcomes and overall wellbeing for patients. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and contact lens consultations Deliver additional clinical services (e.g., dry eye assessments) in line with qualifications and business needs Practice in accordance with GOC regulations and professional standards Advise patients on visual health, including lifestyle and preventative care Work collaboratively with Dispensing Opticians and support staff to ensure a seamless patient journey Provide clear, patient-focused recommendations with an emphasis on clinical benefit Maintain accurate, detailed, and contemporaneous patient records in line with legal and professional requirements Use and maintain specialist diagnostic equipment (e.g., OCT, fundus camera, tonometry, visual fields) Stay up to date with Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements Contribute to practice growth through excellent patient care and communication ..... full job details .....
