The role involves the design, development, integration and testing of complex opto electronic and mechatronic systems for demanding, mission critical applications. Requirements Degree in Electronics, Optoelectronics, Physics, Mechatronics or a related engineering discipline. Experience developing and integrating opto-electronic or precision electromechanical systems. Understanding of optical systems, sensors, electronics and control technologies. Experience with system testing, verification and validation. Knowledge of high reliability engineering, ideally within space, aerospace or defence. Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills. Any experience with space qualified hardware, precision instrumentation, embedded systems or automated test equipment would be advantageous.
