Optical Lab Technician Glasgow Monday - Friday - 08.00am - 4.30pm Salary is dependent on experience We are currently recruiting for a Optical Lab Technician to join our client based in their Glasgow store. Job Summary Our client is looking for a skilled and motivated Optical Lab Technician to join their laboratory team. This role plays a key part in delivering high quality optical products by accurately manufacturing and glazing lenses in line with prescriptions, quality standards, and turnaround times. Key Responsibilities Interpret and process optical prescriptions accurately Edge, glaze, and assemble lenses into frames Carry out quality checks to ensure lenses meet prescription and company standards Operate and maintain optical lab machinery safely Identify and resolve production issues efficiently Maintain a clean, organised, and safe laboratory environment Consistently meet turnaround time targets to support timely delivery of glasses Skills and Experience Maths and English to National Level 4 or 5 or equivalent Strong attention to detail and time management skills Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy over sustained periods Ability to follow instructions and prioritise workload effectively Person Specification Essential High level of attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and quality Good manual dexterity and practical skills, with the ability to handle delicate materials and equipment Ability to work efficiently and maintain accuracy ..... full job details .....
