Zest Optical are working in partnership with a growing, family-run independent opticians in Cheltenham - a relaxed, personality-led practice that''s built its name on making people feel genuinely looked after, not just simply prescribed. This isn''t a traditional, formal practice. The team know their regulars by name, ask how the kids are doing, and take real pride in helping people find eyewear that actually suits them. As the practice continues to grow, they''re looking for someone who''ll fit that culture as naturally as they fit the role.

The Role

• Optical Assistant role within a small, close-knit, family-run independent practice in Cheltenham
• The focus here is dispensing and frame selection - genuinely helping patients choose eyewear that suits them, not rushing them through a sale
• Build real relationships with patients, offering the kind of continuity and familiarity that keeps people coming back to the same friendly faces
• Take ownership of your patients and see things through, rather than passing people along
• Be part of a relaxed, informal team culture where new ideas are welcomed, not shut down

What We''re Looking For

• Previous experience within an optical practice, with a working understanding of the core aspects of dispensing
• Above all, a natural people person - someone who enjoys conversation and connection as much as the product itself
• The right attitude for a relaxed, informal environment rather than a corporate or high-pressure one
• Excited about working with the finest products from across the globe
