Optical Assistant / Optician

An opportunity has arisen for an Optical Assistant to join a well-established independent optical practice providing high-quality eye care and personalised service across multiple locations.As an Optical Assistant, you will support clinical staff while delivering a high standard of patient care and day-to-day optical assistance.This full-time, permanent role offers a salary range of £24,000-£25,000 and benefits. You will be required to work across two practice locations based in Brough and Willerby.You will be responsible for:Carrying out accurate pre-screening and optical measurementsAssisting patients with the selection, fitting and collection of spectacles and contact lensesSupporting contact lens administration and aftercare processesManaging stock levels and maintaining an organised, clean practice environmentHandling patient enquiries and explaining optical products and services clearlyMaintaining accurate patient records in line with data protection requirementsProviding general support to optometrists and the wider practice teamWhat we are looking for:Previously worked as an Optical Assistant, Dispensing Assistant, Optical Advisor, Optician, Optical Consultant or in a similar roleConfident, patient-focused approach with a professional mannerGood organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasksWillingness to develop knowledge of optical products, procedures and systemsFull UK driving licence (preferred)Shift:Monday - Friday: 9:00am - 6:00pmSaturday: ..... full job details .....
