Our client is seeking a Yard Operative with a valid forklift licence to join their dynamic team. The role requires flexibility to work across two sites Wolverton and Thurleigh.Job Objectives Provide essential support to the daily operations of the company in accordance with company policies, procedures and team objectives.Assist in the smooth running of the Operations and Yard departments.Possession of a valid forklift licence is essential. Operational Duties (including, but not limited to): Yard Operative Attend the daily 7:30am Toolbox Talk.Maintain a clean and safe yard environment, minimising risks and promptly reporting any concerns to the operations management team, verbally and via the Near Miss and Damages procedures.Conduct regular servicing, inspection and maintenance of all equipment.Undertake any tasks within the scope of the role as directed by line management. Prepare equipment for jobs as requested by the operations management team.Pick equipment in line with load lists.Load and unload equipment using various vehicle types, including counterbalance forklifts and telehandlers.Secure loads to trailers and kit to stillages using ratchet straps. Ensure trailers are strapped in compliance with VOSA regulations.Collaborate with operations personnel to check and maintain accurate stock levels.Ensure stock is serviced and prepared for despatch.Participate actively in annual stock checks and asset identification.Carry out manual lifting of stock, scaffolding, and ..... full job details .....
