GC155: Operations TechnicianLocation: Fort WilliamSalary: Competitive Overview: Our well-established client are Water and Power engineers with experience from feasibility studies to design, project management and OandM.They are looking for a multi-skilled Operations Technician with an electrical background (will also consider Control / PLC or HV Systems) to join a team that delivers mini projects, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and service programmes for clients across UK. We welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates and particularly encourage applications from ex-military personnel. Key Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will be able to work on a variety of Water and Power projects including: - Fault finding. Repair and maintenance activities. Hydraulic systems, turbines, motors, pumps, inverters. PLC control systems. HV electrical systems. Work schedule: Regular travel and overnight stays to remote sites. Weekend work may be required occasionally. Paid overtime. Typical work cycle 5.5 / 7, or 11 / 14. Qualifications and Experience: A relevant technical qualification. 4 years+ experience working in the EandM service sector. Experience in a role which is "hands-on the tools" with the ability to use initiative. Proactive and ability to be flexible in a changing environment. Able to work independently, under pressure and in remote areas. Excellent client-facing and communication skills. A full driving licence. Desirable / Optional: PLC ..... full job details .....
