This is not a standard "planner" role. We''re looking for someone who has run a live transport desk, thrives under pressure, and can make fast, accurate decisions in a real-time operations environment. The RoleYou''ll be responsible for managing live, time-critical transport movements across the UK, ensuring urgent deliveries are executed efficiently and without delay. Running a live same-day / time-critical transport desk Managing urgent and dedicated vehicle movements in real time Handling escalations, failures, and high-pressure situations Supporting and leading operators/planners on shift Making quick, commercially sound decisions under pressure Working closely with drivers, customers, and internal teams What We''re Looking For Same-day courier / express logistics Time-critical / AOG / urgent freight Road freight operations with live dispatch environments Essential experience: 5+ years in same-day courier or time-critical logistics Proven experience running a live transport desk Strong understanding of UK road freight, routing, and vehicle types Experience in urgent / air freight / AOG movements (highly desirable)Working Hours Typically early start (6am-7am) - (Mon - Fri) ..... full job details .....
