Resource Operations Manager
Location: Corby
Salary: £40,000 per annum

A well-established nationwide contractor is seeking an experienced Resource Operations Manager to join its busy operations team based in Corby. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised, proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys coordinating multiple projects, people and resources simultaneously.
The Role
Working closely with senior management, you will be responsible for coordinating labour, materials and plant requirements across multiple active construction projects throughout the UK. Project sizes can vary significantly, from one-day installations through to large-scale developments lasting several months.
You will be the key point of contact for site teams, clients and internal departments, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, on programme and within budget. The role is predominantly office-based, although you will work with teams operating nationwide.
This is a varied position that requires strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to remain calm and professional when priorities change.
Key Responsibilities

  • Allocating installers, materials and equipment across multiple live projects.
  • Liaising with site managers to coordinate daily and weekly project requirements.
  • Producing work packs and documentation for installation teams.
  • Reviewing project calculations and material requirements to ensure installers have everything needed to complete works.
  • Working closely with procurement to manage material availability and lead times.
  • Monitoring project schedules and resource planning across a portfolio of active projects.
  • Preparing and updating RAMS, method statements and associated project documentation.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to clients ranging from large national organisations to individual customers.
  • Supporting project costing and operational administration through business systems.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:
  • Highly organised with strong planning and logistical coordination skills.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Confident communicating by phone with customers, site managers and colleagues.
  • Professional, resilient and able to remain calm under pressure.
  • Commercially aware with the confidence to challenge or push back when necessary.
  • A strong team player who enjoys working collaboratively within a close-knit environment.
  • Keen to learn technical information relating to construction projects, materials and installation processes.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in operations, resource planning, project coordination, logistics or scheduling.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Experience of working within construction, engineering, manufacturing, contracting or a similar project-led environment would be advantageous.
