Eaton, Titchfield, England, United Kingdom – Aerospace division. The role is Operations Procurement Manager. The aerospace business is a global leader in aerospace fuel systems. The site is relocating to a newly constructed facility in Daedalus, serving as the Centre of Excellence for aerospace manufacturing across Europe.We are a premier supplier of fully integrated fuel systems for fixed and rotary-wing aircraft, with extensive fuel and air system test facilities for testing across a range of conditions with various fuel types.What You’ll Do
This role will lead the site procurement spend across three UK sites with a team of direct and functional personnel to execute a one supply chain approach. You will apply your knowledge of tactical procurement systems and processes, supplier management, materials management and continuous improvement tools to lead a group of site-based Supplier Performance Managers, improving supplier delivery and quality.You will be responsible for driving a culture of teamwork and performance that improves our critical supply base. You will coach, mentor and lead the team of Supplier Performance Managers to execute supplier delivery improvement through effective guidance of the FMC Ops Procurement Team, efficient resource allocation for projects, and reliable reporting to leadership, while aligning actions.You will develop individual team member leadership competencies and drive functional excellence in managing and delivering high-risk supplier components, leading supplier continuous improvement activities to improve supplier delivery and capability, and supporting supplier risk management activities such as systemic tactical improvements at chronic supplier sites.Responsibilities
Establish and maintain best-in-class processes in alignment with site procurement procedures and training guidesDevelop and maintain supplier performance analysis and reports to enable operations procurement leadership to assess supplier health and site procurement effectiveness, taking corrective action as requiredBuild organizational capability by developing commodity knowledge and procurement process expertise to support effective supplier selection, management, continuous improvement, and problem solvingMonitor supplier performance metrics (Past Due, On-Time Delivery, QA, etc.) and address performance gaps by driving defined tactical strategies per Focus Supplier Process or other short-term recovery plansWork cross-functionally with SCM, Engineering, and Operations to ensure supplier sourcing, launch, and ongoing performance meet defined targets and business needsDrive systemic operational procurement improvements at sites and Focus supplier sites through procurement/materials toolsManage other department and team duties as required, related to reliable on-time site procurement/supplier execution and supplier delivery improvementQualifications
Bachelors Degree in Program Management, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Engineering3-5 years’ experience in aerospace industry and Eaton products10 years’ experience leading complex multi-functional teams10 years of procurement experienceSkills
