Operations Manager Waste Management and Recycling Facility An experienced Operations Manager is required to lead and develop a high-performing production team at a busy waste management and recycling facility in South Yorkshire. Salary: £60,000 £65,000 + £6,000 Car Allowance + Pension Location: South Yorkshire The Role As Operations Manager, you will have full responsibility for the safe, efficient, and compliant day-to-day operation of a fast-paced processing site. Key responsibilities include: Managing the intake, processing, and outbound movement of waste and recyclable materials Ensuring plant machinery and equipment are maintained to maximise operational performance and minimise downtime Driving compliance across Environmental, Health and Safety, and Quality standards Leading, motivating, and developing operational and production teams Supporting commercial objectives and contributing to overall site profitability and performance Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement across operations, productivity, and safety About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: Previous experience managing operations within a waste management, recycling, or heavy industrial environment A strong operational background working with materials or processes such as biomass, wood waste, scrap metal, plastics, aggregates, construction and demolition waste, composting, landfill, anaerobic digestion, MRF/MBT operations, or similar industrial processing environments ..... full job details .....
