Operations Manager - Waste management and Recycling

An experienced Waste and Recycling Operations Manager is required to lead a production team at a fast-paced processing site Salary: £60k + benefits, Pension Location: Horwich, Blackrod Preston and surrounding areas The Role As Operations Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of a busy waste management or recycling facility. Key duties include: • Overseeing the intake, processing, and dispatch of waste materials • Ensuring all plant and equipment are properly maintained and operational • Maintaining compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety, and Quality standards • Managing, motivating, and developing a team of production staff • Supporting commercial activities and contributing to overall business performance About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: A relevant qualification such as COTC/WAMITAB Proven experience managing a waste processing or recycling site although not essential A background working with materials such as wood waste, scrap metal, plastics, construction/demolition waste, composting, landfill, aggregates, anaerobic digestion, MRF/MBT operations, or other heavy industry Desirable : NEBOSH or IOSH certification A full UK driving license Suitable Backgrounds This role would suit candidates who have previously held positions such as: General Manager, MBT Shift Manager, Transfer Station Manager, Recycling Operations Manager, Waste Site Manager, MRF Manager, Skip Hire General Manager, Recycling ..... full job details .....
