Job Title: Operations Manager - SC
Location: Hybrid / Bristol (60% on site)
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Daily Rate: £650/day (Umbrella)
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Security Clearance: SC
As an Operations Manager your main responsibilities will be to:
- Support the development and implementation of acquisition strategies aligned with Category A Approval requirements, project objectives and wider programme outcomes.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, requirements, deliverables, assumptions, dependencies and operational priorities.
- Support the WH2 team and Torps ISS Operations Managers in planning, coordinating and monitoring activity across Heavyweight and Lightweight support workstreams.
- Support the Complex Weapons Control Account Managers in managing contract outputs, supplier performance, delivery milestones, financial information and supporting evidence.
- Assist in the drafting, review and coordination of System Requirements, Statements of Requirement, Invitations to Negotiate, Outline Business Cases and Full Business Cases.
- Support the preparation, assurance and submission of documentation required for Category A Approval and related MOD governance activity.
Essential:
- Experience of operations management in a project, programme, engineering, logistics, support or defence-related environment.
- Experience supporting MOD approvals, public-sector approvals or equivalent governance and assurance activity.
- Experience supporting the development of business case, procurement, requirements or contract documentation.
- Experience managing actions, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, schedules and management information in a project or programme environment.
- Experience of MOD systems such as NAWDAS and MJDI
Desirable:
- Previous military service experience.
- Experience supporting Category A acquisition activity, strategic approvals, OBC or FBC development.
- Experience supporting Tactical Development firing trials, operational trials, training activity or in-water trials.
- Experience working with Navy Command, defence suppliers, contract delivery teams or operational support organisations.
