The Role

As Operations Manager, you will take ownership of day-to-day site operations, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality production. You''ll lead cross-functional teams, optimise processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop production, logistics, and operational teams
• Drive improvements in efficiency, quality, and cost control
• Ensure full compliance with HSE and regulatory standards
• Implement and embed continuous improvement (Lean / Six Sigma) methodologies
• Oversee production planning, resource allocation, and delivery performance
• Collaborate with technical, R&D, and commercial teams to support innovation and scale-up
• Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to achieve operational targets

About You

• Degree qualified in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related discipline
• Proven experience in an operations / production management role within manufacturing or process-led environments
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Experience in chemical, materials, or advanced manufacturing environments
• Sound understanding of health & safety and regulatory compliance
• Track record of delivering continuous improvement and operational performance gains
