The Role
As Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations across the site, ensuring production targets are achieved, customer expectations are exceeded, and teams are motivated to deliver at their best. Reporting to senior leadership, you’ll play a key role in shaping the operational strategy and supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage schedulling, warehouse, and supply chain teams to deliver on time, in full, and to the highest quality standards.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimise processes.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement through lean manufacturing and best practices.
- Manage budgets, resources, and KPIs to ensure operational and financial performance targets are met.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Work closely with commercial and technical teams to support customer requirements and new product introductions.
- Build, develop, and mentor teams, ensuring strong succession planning and leadership capability.
About You
Essential:
- Proven experience as an Operations Manager (or similar leadership role) within packaging, manufacturing, or FMCG.
- Strong track record of managing large teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent knowledge of operational processes, supply chain, and production planning.
- Skilled in driving continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Desirable:
- Degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Experience in working with automated packaging machinery.
- Knowledge of ISO standards, BRC, or similar quality systems.
