Role Overview
The Operations Manager will lead all day-to-day site operations, ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective management of production, warehousing, and distribution. This role is key to improving performance, supporting growth, and maintaining high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee production, machining, warehousing, and dispatch operations
- Ensure on-time delivery and efficient production scheduling
- Manage stock control, supply coordination, and material yield
- Lead logistics and transport performance
- Maintain health & safety compliance and promote best practice
- Manage, develop, and motivate operational teams
- Monitor KPIs, control costs, and drive continuous improvement
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Experience in operations or production management
- Background in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Knowledge of warehouse and logistics operations
- Understanding of health & safety requirements
Desirable
- Timber or materials processing experience
- ERP/WMS system knowledge
- Lean or continuous improvement experience
