Operations Manager

About the Role Hayward Hawk are delighted to be recruiting for a proactive and commercially minded OperationsManagerto join their clients busy professional services firm. This is a highly client-facing role where youll be the go to person for ensuring top notch client care and smooth day-to-day operations of the team. If youre someone who doesnt shy away from difficult conversations, picking up the phone to resolve issues and is passionate about delivering excellent service, this could be the perfect fit! What Youll Do Oversee day-to-day operations to keep everything running smoothly, supporting consultants and internal teams. Coordinate internal resources and manage client expectations to maintain strong relationships. Manage the leadership team with operational reporting, deadlines and process improvements. Provide exceptional client care, handling travel arrangements, diary management, hotel bookings, and general logistics for consultants. Act as the primary point of contact for clients to manage and resolve any issues or client concerns. Manage timesheets for consultants, ensuring accurate tracking of work against jobs/projects. Prepare and send client pitches and proposals, working closely with the business development team. What Youll Need Previous experience in a client-facing role within a consultancy environment. Strong commercial awareness and the confidence to manage client conversations directly and professionally. Excellent organisational skills, with experience managing diaries, travel, and event coordination. Attention to detail, especially around timesheet management and project tracking. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels. Ability to multi-task and work under pressure while maintaining a positive, solutions-focused attitude. Proactive mindset: you take ownership and follow through without needing to be prompted.
